Pilot phase · Launching Summer 2026

The city
tells its stories.

Seven sculptures in Munich's Old Town come alive. An AR experience for children, families, and travelers — no app, no QR code, no sign-up.

A walk that brings history to life.

Seven figures — one for each of the medieval gates of the Old Town. A two-kilometer route, from the lion at the Residenz to the bronze figures at Viktualienmarkt.

01 / SEVEN

A narrative quest in three parts, designed for children aged 8 to 12.
03 / NO
App required
The sculpture itself is the trigger. Point your smartphone at it — and it starts to speak.

Three ways to experience it.

UrbanTales adapts to whoever is exploring the city — a family, a traveler, a student.

For Schools · Pilot

Free for all Munich schools — the entire 2026/27 school year.

As part of our pilot phase, UrbanTales is free for every Munich school throughout the full 2026/27 school year — from launch until the summer holidays in 2027. No license fees, no per-class costs, no commitment.

We're launching in summer 2026, in time for the new school year, so teachers have a full year to integrate UrbanTales into class excursions, project weeks, and homework assignments on local history — without pressure to decide right away.

Teachers also receive educational materials: preparation units for the classroom, on-site discussion questions, and reflection sheets for follow-up work after the visit.
